The Interface
The Paddy Power website is a good one but it has plenty of quirks that are strangely in keeping with the brand’s individuality. For example, the Quick Links are down the bottom of the home page so that you can’t see them at first, which makes them… sort of, semi-quick links. The colourful long list of sports categories contains an A-Z option, which expands to reveal other categories unworthy of a place on the home screen. That’s Irish logic for you, I suppose!
The platform is very quick to load especially within the interface itself, but even full re-loads – where they occur – feel springy. The colourful home page is busy but well-proportioned so that it doesn’t feel crowded, although the shade of green used to display the odds could make you feel queasy. It definitely feels like a fun corner of the internet, personally though, I would prefer it if the slot games etc were kept out of sight of the Sportsbook.
You will be greeted by the day’s featured Racing in the first instance with Football then Tennis below, before other events of the day find their place. You are unlikely to miss any of their promotions as they are well publicised site wide but this has been judged well and never becomes shouty or obnoxious.
Getting Things Done
Despite the odd quirk, there is lots that makes sense on the Paddy Power site. The site is brighter than a lot of other places but the colourful visuals actually help more than they hinder by making the different sections of the screen stand apart from one another, and organisation is generally intuitive and useful.
The Horse Racing interface works particularly well, serving both as a betting portal and a daily schedule/future calendar. It’s great to use with links to streaming and stats and other useful bits and bobs. The same goes for the Greyhounds.
For all other sports the interface is practical rather than flashy, with useful options like In-play, Today, Next, Tournaments, and Specials to help you get to where you want to go, before listing all corresponding markets. This works to a point but nothing in the list is expandable or collapsible so you can end up on a bit of a scroll-a-thon. They use collapsible menu’s elsewhere so it’s odd that they haven’t bothered to here. Told you - quirky.
The betslip could do with a re-think as it feels a little behind the times; for example, aside from Cash Out all of your open bets and bet history have to be viewed in a separate window taking you away from the main interface and interrupting your flow. It’s not the end of the world but other sites utilise the betslip much more effectively.
Still, it’s an easy site to use which is quick, fun, and well organised, so it shouldn’t cause any frustrations.

USP
Paddy Power are an acquired taste but if you like your bookmaker to stand out from the crowd and show a bit of personality then there is no other choice. Moving Your Money
